Islamic Jesus Film

I've posted an article on this topic since it distorts the evidence of historical records. Not just the record of the New Testament, but the record of many other historical documents as well. The movie makes a number of outlandish claims that can't stand up to an honest examination of the facts:

- that Jesus was not crucified. Sorry - but this is one of the most attested to facts of history. Not only in the New Testament, but in Roman records, Jewish historical records, and other historical records of the 1st century. What's more, there is good evidence that Jesus did not remain in a tomb, but rather was raised up, just as He had told His disciples many times. In fact, the truth of the Resurrection is at the core of the Christian faith.

- that Judas must have been crucified in His place. This is based on the Muslim belief that God would not want one of His Prophets to be so cruely treated. The problem is that Muslims do not understand that so many Bible prophecies foretold a coming Messiah who would suffer and die to bear the sins of the people, and set them free from the power of death (see Isaiah 53, Psalm 22, among other references). Fact is that Jesus had to die to redeem His people from the power of sin and death, so that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

- that Jesus spoke of Muhammad "many times". These are distortions of the text, and interpretations not warranted by the context. See an example in my article.

- that the "Gospel of Barnabas" is a genuine 1st century gospel, one that supports these claims. In point of fact, and according to the historians, this is a 15th or 16th century forgery.

Please see my article for more details on "Jesus, the Spirit of God", an Islamic film about Jesus. I hope the article helps a few people think more critically about the claims of the film, so that perhaps they will investigate the claims of Jesus more closely, and give Him a chance to set them free.

Comments on Iran's 'No Holocost' meeting

I am stunned that the leader of Iran has the nerve to proclaim that this horrible nightmare never happened. I personally knew someone who went through this terrible atrocity - somehow he survived the prison camp. I saw the branding marks on his arm with my own eyes, and spoke to him about it.

I also have friends who have relatives who were killed in the German concentration camps during WW II. In addition, there are still many people alive today who are survivors, or knew survivors.

You can also visit the Holocost museum in Israel, or in LA, and see the pictures. There is no shortage of testimonies and historical evidence to this evil that was done only 60 short years ago.

It boggles the mind that people can have:

1) the audacity to even speak these lies
2) such hatred in their hearts that they want to wipe another race "off the map".

The LORD promises in His Word that He will protect His people; and ultimately, those nations that do come against Israel will be horribly defeated. In that day, they will know that it was the one and only Lord Almightly - the true God - who intervened for the nation Israel.
